Khaliya Top Trek, perched at 3,500 meters (11,500 feet), is a breathtaking alpine meadow in Uttarakhand known for its sweeping views of the Panchachuli, Rajrambha, and Nanda Kot peaks. The adventure begins in Munsiyari (2,200 meters / 7,200 feet), a charming hill town in the Pithoragarh district. From here, a short 5 km drive leads to Balati Bend (2,700 meters / 8,850 feet), the starting point of the 6 km trek.
The trail climbs gently through enchanting oak and rhododendron forests, offering occasional clearings that open up to stunning vistas. As you ascend, the air grows cooler, and dense woodland gives way to expansive meadows—often blanketed in snow during winter. The final ridge walk to the summit is open and awe-inspiring, delivering a true “top of the world” feeling.
Whether you’re a beginner seeking a manageable trek or a nature lover in search of alpine beauty, Khaliya Top offers the perfect balance of serenity, challenge, and reward.
