The Panchachuli Base Camp Trek, located in Uttarakhand’s scenic Pithoragarh district, beautifully blends adventure with breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. While Dharchula was traditionally the base, improved road access now allows trekkers to start directly from the quaint villages of Dugtu and Dantu, surrounded by green meadows and snowy peaks.
The route follows the historic Darma Valley trail, once a bustling trade path, offering a unique mix of cultural history and raw natural beauty. The trek to base camp is short—just 10 km round trip—but incredibly rewarding. It brings you face-to-face with the towering Panchachuli peaks, making it perfect for anyone looking for a brief yet unforgettable mountain escape.
