The Ralam Glacier Trek is a thrilling adventure set in the remote highlands of Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand. The journey begins in Munsiyari (2,200 meters / 7,217 feet), a charming town that acts as the trek’s base camp. As you venture forward, you’ll pass Ralam Village (3,130 meters / 10,269 feet), the last inhabited settlement along the route, where you can immerse yourself in the rich culture and lifestyle of the Johar community.
A major highlight of this trek is crossing the Brij Ganga Dhura Pass (4,700 meters / 15,419 feet), one of the highest ridge passes in Uttarakhand. This challenging yet rewarding pass offers sweeping panoramic views of snow-covered peaks, making the effort worthwhile.
